The European Telecommunication Standards Institute (“ETSI”), is the copyright holder of the following:

  • 3GPP Logo and the trademark “3GPP”.
  • 3GPP LTE, LTE-Advanced and LTE-Advanced Pro Logos and the trademark “LTE”.
  • 3GPP 5G logo.
  • 3GPP 6G logo.

ETSI gives you authorization to use the 3GPP logos listed above and the acronyms ‘3GPP’ and ‘LTE’ according to your request of August 25, 2024 for blog postings (details in email below), on the following terms and conditions:

  1. The 3GPP logos and the acronyms 3GPP & LTE shall only be used in an appropriate manner on or in relation to 3GPP Standard-compliant equipment and/or services.
  2. The 3GPP acronyms and/or logos shall not be used for certification purposes.
  3. The 3GPP logos shall only be used in the form shown in the electronic files provided at http://www.3gpp.org/ftp/Inbox/Marcoms/Logos/

Special instructions: The 3GPP logo and term:

The 3GPP logos shall not be used in a modified form, either by addition or omission of any of the elements thereof including the 3GPP logo by-line « A GLOBAL INITIATIVE ». When used on a web site, any hyperlink associated with the 3GPP logo shall only point to the 3GPP web site http://www.3gpp.org

The acronym 3GPP must never be used in a possessive form, in a plural form or used as a verb. Further, while using the acronym 3GPP the trade mark symbol TM shall be placed immediately after the trade mark. The symbol can be placed either in superscript or subscript. In addition, in conjunction with the symbol TM, the following legend must be used: “3GPP is a trade mark of ETSI”.

Special instructions: The LTE logo and term:

The LTE, LTE-Advanced or LTE Advanced Pro logos shall only be used as per the our guidelines (on-line at http://www.3gpp.org/about-3gpp/19-lte-logo-use)

The 3GPP 5G logo & 5G-Advanced logo shall only be used as described in the logo guideline (https://www.3gpp.org/ftp/Inbox/Marcoms/Logos/2021_Guidance_for_use_of_the_5G_logos.pdf)

When used on a web site, any hyperlink associated with the 3GPP 5G logo shall only point to the 3GPP web site:  http://www.3GPP.org/

Special instructions: The 6G logo:

The 3GPP 6G logo shall only be used as described in the logo guideline at https://www.3gpp.org/about-us/legal-matters/logo-usage

When used on a web site, any hyperlink associated with the 3GPP 6G logo shall only point to the 3GPP web site:  http://www.3GPP.org/

By abiding by these terms and conditions on the use of the 3GPP logos and terms, the authorized user may invoke an implicit royalty free trademark license on the use of these logos & terms.

Breach of the here above conditions gives the right to ETSI to terminate immediately the authorization, without liability and without indemnity.
